Hello! We are North Dorset sub aqua club and actively enjoy exploring the underwater world of our Jurassic coastline. We welcome already qualified divers from all agencies and those looking to learn to dive . Non-diving partners are welcome to pool nights and many social events.
With around 40 members of mixed age and ability we are a small friendly bunch who dive locally but also venture away to other destinations both in the UK and overseas. Members interests vary from marine life and photography to deep wrecks and some technical diving.
Each year we take a small number of novices to complete the BSAC Ocean diver training and the opportunity to continue to higher levels and specialist qualifications. Although the club does not own its own boat we have excellent access and relationships with the local dive skippers out of Poole, Swanage & Weymouth and we often venture down to Chesil cove, Portland for shore dives.
You will find us every Thursday from 8:00pm at St Marys School pool, Shaftesbury for training and swimming, then to the pub from 9:00pm for dive banter and beer
Our dive club was founded in 1977 to bring together divers and their families of every level and interest of all ages to have fun, talk and organise dives and social events with each other. This is your opportunity to meet new friends with similar interests. – we’re always happy to welcome new members to our club. Drop in and see us – we’d love to meet you!
We are now using the pool at St Marys School, Shaftesbury every Thursday evening for training and swimming from 8pm to 9pm,
Afterwards we meet at The Ship Inn, Shaftesbury for catching up with all club activities or just enjoying a drink with friends
